Civitas ECCENTRIC project aims to promote sustainable mobility in five European cities: Madrid, Munich, Ruse, Stockholm and Turku.

The project cities are engaging their local administrations, public transport operators, professionals and citizens in a wide range of measures developing innovative and sustainable mobility in suburban neighborhoods. The project will contribute to safer walking and cycling, efficient and clean public transport solutions, flexible and dynamic parking, development of mobility as a service for all, as well as promotion and uptake of clean vehicles.
In Turku, the main focus lies in the Kupittaa-Itäharju area. The project in Turku is led by the City of Turku. Other local partners, in addition to TUAS, are the Union of the Baltic Cities, the Regional Council of Southwest Finland, Turku City Traffic Ltd., Western Systems Oy and Gasum Biovakka Oy. The role of TUAS is to evaluate the project activities, including their effectiveness as well as the process itself, in Turku.
