Solarleap – more solar energy to Southwest Finland

The SOLARLEAP project developed cleantech knowledge and concentrated especially on the special characteristics of solar energy on the coast of Southwest Finland, with the aim of removing obstacles to its utilization.

The project development included education about planning of solar energy systems, technical documentation, instructions of system installing in a form of RT -instructions and other ways, as well as pilot studies which reflected the results of education, instructions and documentation and provided verified knowledge about energy output of systems

SolarLeap was executed in co-operation with the cities located on the coast of Southwest Finland. The project leader was Turku University of Applied Science and project partner was Turku Vocational Institute. In addition, the project worked in close cooperation with the solar energy project carried out by Satakunta University of Applied Sciences.
